How We Work Together

So, How exactly do we do this coaching thing?

That question is entirely dependent upon your goals, which we will uncover during our first few sessions. Coaching is extremely flexible. One of my favorite things I love about coaching is it is on YOUR TERMS. . Some coaches work face to face, some offer phone sessions, extra support via email and text. Some Coaches are trainers and facilitators, holding workshops and facilitate groups. The most important thing to me, is YOUR personal preference and learning style. You deserve to be supported in the manner that allows you to grow and achieve your goals, so as you consider our coaching relationship, I encourage you to speak up for what is best, FOR YOU.

What is my job as the client and your job as the coach?

Your role as the client:
1. Accept ownership of your own choices.
2. Have awareness of your own experiences.
3.  Exhibit expertise about your own life and current reality.
4. You need to be ready to work, ready to laugh, and ready to be accountable for real    progress toward your goals.
My role as the coach:
1. I will listen to you—not to judge you, but to understand you. I believe you deserve to be heard.
2. I will validate you. Your experiences are legitimate, and your feelings deserve to be meaningfully addressed.
3. I will emphasize the importance of self-care: It’s a full-time job that only you can do.
4. I will help you clarify your own internal convictions—yours, not anybody else’s, your own set of values you want to align your behavior to.
5. I will motivate, champion and compel you. That means, I’ll hold you to your own standards.
6. I will urge you to establish an effective and accessible support network.
7. I will ask you “the tough questions.” I will invite you to practice gut-level honesty.
8. I will expose you to a broad spectrum of tools and resources, prompting you to discover which suit you best.
9. I will remind you, as often as necessary, that you CAN get your own life back.
